FLORENCE DALE, Ky
Feb. 12 - Since my last week's communication, John O. Boarman has died. He was a good and pious gentleman and an honor to the community in which he lived. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn the loss of a good father and husband. All of his children were at his bed side at the time of his death, with the exception of one daughter, who belongs to the Sisterhood in Iowa and could not get here.

Mrs. and Mrs. Dosia [Dozier] Mattingly, of Owensboro; Messrs. George Boarman, Sr. and George Boarman, Jr., of Knottsvile, Daviess County, and Mr. Edward (Boarman) and daughter, Miss Agnes, of Raywick attended the funeral of Mr. John Boarman last Monday at St. Charles.

NOTE: John married Susan Cyrilla Howard, 1836-1909, daughter of Basil Patrick and Monica Ann (Miles) Howard.
