Ray S. Odor, 68, died at 7:50 a.m. today, September 1, 1954, at his home, 815 James Street, following a five-week illness.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. J. J. Share officiating and with burial in Graceland Cemetery.
Ray S. Odor, son of William S. and Sarah Ellen Odor, was born Nov. 4, 1885, at Webster City and was reared and educated in this community.
He was united in marriage June 1, 1922, to Gladys M. (Bissell) Beem, and they had always made their home at 815 James Street.
Mr. Odor was employed for 26 years as a bill clerk for the Chicago and North Western Railroad. For 12 years he was employed by the Stuart Paint Company as a painter and for five years worked with the Smith Transfer Company.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Richard and one daughter, Lauradell, both of Webster City; a step-son and a step-daughter, Robert Beem of this city, and Mrs. Helen Scarborough of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mable Palmquist of Amery, Wis., and one niece, Mrs. Virginia Evens, also of Amery.
Mr. Odor was preceded in death by two daughters, Ideana Marie and Barbara Mae Odor, who died in infancy, by his parents, one brother and one sister.
