Margaret Terdan, age 85, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital.

Margaret was a 1939 graduate of Chisholm schools and 1941 graduate of Hibbing Jr. College. She married Frank Terdan in a Christmas wedding during his leave from military service in 1943. After the ceremony and reception, they took the afternoon bus to Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., for a brief time before making their home in Chisholm and eventually building a home in Buhl where they've resided for the past 55 years.

A member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary Post 8510, and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Margaret's greatest joy was her family and friends ' and the color yellow! She will be remembered for her wit and humor that brought laughter to many, and her uncommon ability as a storyteller extraordinaire. Her heart of love, strength of spirit, ready smile and thoughtfulness will be missed by many.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Frank of 63 years; children: Barbara (Alan) Drang, David (Julie), and Debra (Jerry) Lukkonen; sisters: Elizabeth Baldwin, and Mary (Bob) Schermerhorn; brother, Dr. Leonard "Scumpy" (Chloe) Krause ; grandchildren: Jeremy (Lisa) Drang, Louie Terdan, Tara Solem, Megan Solem, Kelly Lukkonen, Mitch Lukkonen; two great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Mary Krause and Mary Jane Krause; 34 nieces and nephews; and many, many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Irene Krause; brothers, James, John "Jack,' Richard "Dick,' and twin brother, Bill.
