Jack C. Morgan, 92, of Kansas City, MO, passed away July 11, 2012, at Lee's Summit Medical Center, while surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be Tues., July 17, at 10 a.m. at Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday evening, July 16, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery. Jack was born July 10, 1920, in Shawnee, OK. Upon graduating high school he was drafted into the United States Army on July 24, 1942. He served with the 44th Infantry Division as a member of Company B 114th Infantry. He served during WWII, which he was a part of the Battle of the Bulge. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 14, 1945. He married his wife Joan Korte on Nov. 25, 1945. He retired from Bendix after working there for 35 years. He enjoyed square dancing, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and tending to his roses and peach tree. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Viola Morgan, his brother Bert Morgan, and his two daughters Barbara Ann Morgan and Janet Christine Morgan. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Joan Morgan, his brothers Dean and Samuel Morgan, his children Joyce Heinitz, Marcia Becco, Jerry Morgan, and Merry Campbell, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way.
