Mr. Robert York Appleton, 84, of Pulaski died Sept. 23, 2003, at Hillside Hospital. He was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Pulaski and was the son of the late Robert David and Myrtle Modene Matthews Appleton. He was a retired brick mason and a veteran of World War II. Funeral services were to have been held today (Sept. 25) at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Burial was to have been in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Inez Appleton of Pulaski; son Robert Appleton of Pulaski; seven daughters, Elizabeth Shrader, Carolyn Glover, Sue Ward, Pam Tyler and Marilyn Randolph, all of Pulaski, Peggy Fry of Goodspring and Paulette Miller of Shelbyville; brother Cletus Appleton of Pulaski; sister Lillian Hutton of Pulaski; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
