Eliza Peterson Eppes (Whitworth) Willson was the only child born to Captain Thomas and Eliza (Goodwyn) Whitworth. Eliza Whitworth married Henry Chamberlayne Willson of Amelia County, Virginia, on November 15, 1860. Henry Chamberlayne and Eliza (Whitworth) Willson had known children: H. Claiborne; Daughter who married R. H. Jones; Daughter who married B. B. Jones; Samuel Gilliam; Daughter who married a Peebles; and Sally, died Oct 27, 1969, age 91, married Joseph Churchill Cotten, born in North Carolina, died May 2, 1955, son of Joseph and Elizabeth Cotten, of Tarboro, NC. Eliza (Whitworth) Willson is buried in the vault at "Sweden", the estate of her grand-father, Colonel Peterson Goodwyn.
