Asa Sidney Wilson, born 9 June, 1866, in Allegan, Michigan, to Charles Theodore "Thete" Wilson and Juliette Morse.
Asa first appears in the 1870 census, living with his parents and brothers Charles and Albert Wilson. Charles Edwin "Eddie" had died in 1869.
On December 18, 1875, Asa's mother Juliette died. Asa, Fred, and sister Minnie then went to live with their grandparents, Charles Sidney and Malinda Wilson. They are shown that way on the 1880 census.
Asa, according to family records, then left and moved West.
In 1900, he is living in Grand Falls, Cascade, Montana, working as a 'fire hoseman'.
On 24 December, 1906, Asa married Annie L. Levy, daughter of Jonathan Levy and Tobah Berkowicz, in Silver Bow, Montana. They were married by John Doran, Justice of the Peace.
Marriage apparently didn't work for Asa and Annie, and they divorced. Annie later remarried to Jacob Wesley Helms. Annie died 29 March, 1926, Butte, Silver Bow, Montana.
The next time Asa is seen is the 1930 census, living in Butte, Silver Bow, Montana. working as a laborer doing cement work.
In 1940, Asa is unemployed, living in Butte, Silver Bow, Montana.
Asa died 17 July, 1941, Silver Bow. He was age 75, male, martial status unknown, born about 1866. He was buried between Lots 53 and 54, in a street or alley way, Block K, Grave 1. Usually done for a "pauper" grave.
At the time of his death, Asa had 4 half-siblings living in Michigan: Mary Wilson Hare, Katherine Wilson Shumaker, Clayton Wilson and Helen Wilson Conor, and a great number of nieces and nephews.
It was because Asa was "Loved, Missed and Remembered" that I looked for him.
My 3rd cousin.

This memorial is dedicated to Helen Doris Wilson Conor (1899-1982).
