Gloria Delaine Ager Snare, 79, born Nov. 19, 1932, passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Ventura, Calif., July 7, 2012, listening to recordings of Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy singing. Gloria herself studied voice in Pueblo as coloratura mezzo soprano and sang in the Special Services Entertainment in the United States Army WACS. Still in entertaining, she later became a dancer on stage in New York. She was born in Pueblo and was preceded in death by her mother, Olga Ager, and father, Herbert Ager. She is survived by her sisters, Helen Webb and Rella Gray; her daughters, Rella Jean Remedios and Wendy Olivier; grandson, Jeremy Olivier; nephews, Chuck and Dale; niece, Valerie Temple. She was baptized and became a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Pueblo. She went to Central and graduated from Centennial High School. She also took college classes at Denver University. She loved watching old movies, reading and doing crossword puzzles. In her later years, working at J.C. Penney in the catalog department, she would entertain unsuspecting customers with a few lines from Leo Delibes' "Lakme" The Bell Song. She took an early retirement from J.C. Penney because of health problems in 1990. Gloria will be remembered dearly by her family and friends for her witty sense of humor, her love for animals and outgoing personality. There will be no funeral services. Memorial service is pending. Arrangements made by Sunset Plan in Ventura.
