Paul Ohlsen, 81, a resident of Manitowoc for 30 years, died (16 Apr 1943)Friday afternoon at one o'clock at his home in Milwaukee. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the chapel at the Frazer Mortuary with the Rev. R. B. Walden, pastor of S t Paul's Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen. The body may be viewed from 8 o'clock Sunday afternoon until the hour of the funeral.Mr. Ohlsen was a native of Norway. He came to this country as a boy and resided here until about 1903. He was employed as a salesman for many years, making his home in Milwaukee. In 1887 be married Miss Hannah Thorsen (Marikken Johanne J'f8rgensdatter Stensland, T'f8rdal) of this city. She died in 1895. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Eric Radandt of Wausau; four sons, Milton of Wausau, Clyde and George of Chicago and Elmer of Manitowoc; two brothers,Jens Gustav of this, city and Hans Peter of Madison; one sister, (Cathrine Margrete) Mrs, Alfred Bark of California, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

June 21 2017: The above Obituary makes no mention of a spouse named Katie Jost # 81746528
and although some sources show her as his wife (married in 1899) I have requested unlinking her from this memorial until further proof found.

Paul Ohlsen(sic), 81, a resident of Manitowoc for 30 years, died Friday afternoon at one o'clock at his home in Milwaukee.


Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the chapel at the Frazier Mortuary with the Rev. R.B. Walden, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen. The body may be viewed from 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon until the hour of the funeral.


Mr. Ohlsen was a native of Norway. He came to this country as a boy and resided here until about 1903. He was employed as a salesman for many years, making his home in Milwaukee. In 1887 he married Miss Hannah Thorsen of this city. She died in 1895.


Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Eric Radant of Wausau; four sons, Milton of Wausau, Clyde and George of Chicago and Elmer of Manitowoc; two brothers, Gust of this city and Peter of Madison; one sister, Mrs. Alfred Bark of California, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
