OBITUARY.

Mrs. Mary A. Donnelly.

Blackstone. Mass., July 30.— Mrs. Mary A. (Morris) Donnelly, widow of the late Robert Donnelly, died suddenly at her home on Main street at 8.15 o'clock last night, aged 78 years. She was in her usual good health through the day and her death was a great shock to her family and friends. Heart failure was the cause of death. Mrs. Donnelly was one of Blackstone's best women and was highly esteemed by everyone who knew her. She was greatly beloved by her family and friends and her death is a severe blow to them. She was a woman of many fine qualities of mind and heart and was a home body, being deeply attached to her home and family.

Mrs. Donnelly was born in Scotland and was married in that country on April 28, 1852, to Robert Donnelly, who died Sept. 17, 1896. He was a veteran of the late Civil War.

Mrs. Donnelly leaves six sons, David F., Robert W. of town, Thomas H. of Brockton, Charles E. and Frederick J. of town and Edwin J. of Falmouth, Mass. She also leaves eight grandchildren. Mrs. Donnelly is the last of a family of six children. Her family has the sympathy of all their friends in their sorrow.

Funeral services were held from her late home on Main street Saturday morning and were largely attended, relatives and friends being present from Providence, Worcester, Brockton, Falmouth, Franklin, Philadelphia and Blackstone. At St. Paul's church a high mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. M. H. Kittredge, pastor of the church, who also gave the final absolution. Among the floral tributes was a large pillow with the word “Mother," from the children. Interment was at St. Paul's cemetery.
