Curvin "Coon" Berthelot
A native of Bayou Pigeon, La. and a resident of Plaquemine, he went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 13, 2012. He was 88, a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and a retired Pipefitter with Local 198. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Sunday July 15, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. and at Bayou Plaquemine Baptist Church on Monday July 16, 2012 from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Ken Austin. Interment Grace Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ester "Boots" Bethelot; 1 son, John Richard Berthelot. Preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Elma Berthelot; 4 sisters and 6 brothers. He was a charter member of the Local 198 Retirees Club and a member and deacon of Bayou Plaquemine Baptist Church. Special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice, Rev.
