Victor J. Sleger

Victor J. Sleger, 77, of 4115 Clover Road, Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning, March 1, 1992, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. Rev. Lee J. Kahrs will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

He was born September 14, 1914, in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, Wis., son of the late Frank and Blanche Schultz Sleger. He married the former Alice Pries on January 7, 1939, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, Wis. Mr. Sleger was employed with the construction trade for many years. He then was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company, retiring in 1978 due to health reasons. He was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Sleger of Manitowoc; three sons, and daughters-in-law, Leon C. and Arlene of Manitowoc, Wayne L. and Connie of Clover, Emil and Sandy of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Russell Hansen of Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law, Leona and George Freimuth of Kellnersville; two sisters-in-law and a spouse, Helen and Joseph Kaiser of Tisch Mills, Lucy Prucha of Two Rivers; a step mother-in-law, Mrs. Amanda Pries of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and a grandson.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Monday. Prayer Services will be held at 7 p.m. led by Rev. Kahrs.
