A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at New Prospect Baptist Church, 250 Old Tin Top Road in Weatherford, TX. Burial will be in DFW National Cemetery, Monday at 9:30 AM.
Carlin Gamblin was born February 21, 1936 in Memphis, TN and on Sunday July 15, 2012, left this earth to join those who had gone before him in heaven. Carlin was a retired Senior Projects Engineer from General Dynamics. Although he had enjoyed his work at GD and his many travels in 49 state and several countries, he would rather be singing and playing the guitar. Carlin was an accomplished musician. He did not read music; however, he heard it in his head. Carlin sang Rock n' roll and Country, but his favorite was when he was singing gospel music for his Lord. He especially enjoyed singing his gospel music with his many nieces, nephews, friends, and family (sisters, brother) and his church family.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, daughters, step sons, sisters, brother, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to his church, your own church or your favorite charity.
