My heart goes out to Glen's family, especially his sister Glenda, who i know held glen very dear to her heart. I dont remember much about Glen, as most of my memories in Cape Breton are from when i was very young, but there is one memory i will always think about when Glen is brought up in conversation; I can remember being very young, and trips to see my Aunt Darlene and Uncle Velma were very frequent. One night, I can remember hearing something in the front yard and when i looked out the front window there was a man with half of a telephone pole and a chainsaw standing on the front lawn - This is the first time i ever met Glen, and to this day the thought of a man and a telephone pole still brings a smile to my face. Glen was a good man, and was greatly loved by all of his family and those around him, and his sudden passing leaves a heavy burden on many peoples hearts. God works in mysterious ways, and none of us will ever quite understand why he does the things he does, or takes from us the people we love, but everything happens for a reason, and we all must keep reminding ourselves of this. Until we meet again, rest in paradise Glen. Say Hi to Nan for me, and tell her i love her and miss her. I know your in heaven with her, right where angels belong, and im not the least bit worried about you, because i know she is going to take very good care of you.

To all members of Glen's family & his many friends: This was very sudden and unexpected, on Thursday we have lost a great individual in the person of Glen. He sometimes had a funny and unique way of showing it, but deep down, he had a great big heart. There is always a reason when something like this happens so suddenly. I like to refer to these events as a "Post Card Without A Stamp". Out of this will come a lot of good things. Glen has showed us that even when you have nothing, you can certainly become someone who cares for others in his own little way of course! I am proud of the fact that I got to know Glen for the person that he was.... In his own, often complex ways, there was a message in what he would share with people. For Glen, there will be no more struggling, no more suffering and from his place in heaven, he will take care of the ones that he loved. When they leave this earth, they become much closer to us. Keep your courage! In years to come, we will realize what the reason for his leaving was.
