Martha "Mot" Jean Cooper, age 66, of Bagwell, passed away July 17, 2012, at her residence. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mot was born in Clarksville on March 30, 1946, to Marion David and Delura Francis Lee Hutson. She was a member of the Bagwell Baptist Church. She married Jackie Cooper on June 25, 1961.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2012, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Blanton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 7 at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Danny Miller, Mark Miller, Paul Miller, Bobby Hastings, Ray Hastings and James Hastings.
Survivors include her husband; 2 sons, Button Cooper and wife Darlene of Detroit and Jesse Cooper and wife, Melanie of Maud; 7 grandchildren, Nickie, Jed, Roy, Keith, Kristi, Hope and Syna; 4 great grandchildren, Jade, Truman, Mikyla and Kenyeda; 1 sister, Iva Badgett of Bagwell; 1 brother, David Huston of Detroit; 1 aunt, Juanita Hastings of Bagwell; and several nieces and nephews.
