William J. Voss

A memorial service for William J. Voss, 85, Route 2, Kell, who died Tuesday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel.

The Rev. Ward B. Malloy of Bethel United Church of Christ, Town Herman, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Johanna Cemetery at Hika.

Mr. Voss was born May 12, 1892, in the Town of Meeme, to William and Emma Schwalenberg Voss. He attended school in the district.

On Dec. 21, 1915, he married Olga Rautmann at her home in the Town of Meeme. The couple lived in Meeme until 1943 when they moved to Millhome. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1965.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Alice) Baumann, Sheboygan, Mrs. Agnes Oehldrich, Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Merlin (Gladys) Schluenes, rural Kiel, and Mrs. Vernon (Delores) Kress, Cleveland; a brother, Raymond Voss, Cleveland: a sister, Mrs. Oleda Anderson, Milwaukee, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

An infant son, one grandson and a granddaughter, five brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. today until the time of services Friday.
