Catherine E. Juneau, born June 4, 1844, at Milwaukee, Wis., married Bernard Bonduel Bertrand at St. Mary's Mission, St. Marys, Kansas, on April 17, 1864. Catherine was the daughter of Narcisse and Madeline Yott Juneau.
Catherine and Bernard's children were Delia, Belle, Solomon, Lena, Adelaide, Frances, Bernard, James, Richard and Mary Jane. Three of the children, Solomon, Lena and Frances married and had children.
After Bernard died and was buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys, Catherine went to Kansas City to make her home with a daughter.
Catherine was 64 years old when she died of bronchial pneumonia. She is buried in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
