Irving H. Nelson, 80, of Rt. 2, N. Johnston Dr., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon at his home.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Nelson was born Oct. 2, 1896, at Milwaukee, son of the late Ollie and Minnie Fricke Nelson. He was educated at Milwaukee, moving to the Manitowoc area in 1918. He married Effie M. Galbraith April 21, 1926 at Waukegan, Ill. Mr. Nelson was a farmer most of his life, retiring in 1971, and was a former member of Pure Milk Assn.

Survivors include his wife, Effie, a sister, Mrs. Fred (Edith) Bruce, of Evanston, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Amy St. Clair, of Manitowoc and a brother-in-law, Peter Galbraith, of Denver, Colo., and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, State Street Chapel, from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday until the time of service.
