Peter Braun of Whitelaw, well known in this section died last week Thursday at the advanced age of 85 years.
Decedent was one of the pioneers of Manitowoc County, coming there from Germany in 1854. He was married in 1855 but his wife died a few years later. In 1868 he was married to the widow now surviving him. With his family he removed from Liberty to Whitelaw in 1890.
Five sons and two daughters survive.
The funeral took place at Whitelaw, Rev. Kuhl officiating. Six nephews acted as pall bearers.
