He was born in 1874 in Eaton and operated the home farm until his retirement in 1941 when the farm was taken over by his son, Hilary. In 1903 he married Martha Haberman who died in 1924.
Survivors are three sons, William of St. Nazianz, Hugo of Brillion, Hilary on the home farm; three brothers, Fred of route 4, Chilton, Charles and Ferd of Collins; two sisters, Mrs. John Damm of route 4, Chilton and Mrs. Theodore Glassow; 17 grandchildren. The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
