Myrtle Barrick Rites Tuesday
Myrtle Itene Barrick, a Ponca City resident for 34 years, died Saturday night in Ponca City Nursing Home.
The daughter of John and Rebecca Peebles, she was born July 18, 1899 at Cabool, Mo., and grew up there. On July 18, 1925, she and Walter Barrick were married at Newkirk.
The couple made their home here at 1801 North Third and Mrs. Barrick became active in guild work at Frist United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Barrick is survived by her husband, of Highland Nursing Center; a son , Delbert Cooper of Bartlesville; one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Margaret Ann( Wilkerson, 1603 Shirlee; brother, Willis Peebles, of California, two sisters, Mary Terry and Merlene Stewart, both of Mountain Grove, Mo.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be 2 p. m. Tuesday in Grace Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Crane, associated pastor of Frist Methodist, Officiating and with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
