Death at 4:10 pm Friday, claimed Alfred Wilson Lilly, 53, of North Hill Rd. employee of Wheeling Steel Corps, in the coke plant dept. in Portsmouth Works for the last 12 years.
Mr. Lilly died at Portsmouth General hospital after an illness of high blood pressure of the last 6 weeks.
He was born, July 28, 1886 at Streeter, WV. He was reared in that community and resided in WV until coming to Portsmouth in 1927.
Mr. Lilly was married to Dorthy Pack in October 1911. He attended Twin Valley Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife and these children; Woodrow Wilson, Raymond, John Wedsel, and Alfred Dayton Lilly of Nauvoo.
Mrs. Harold Buckner, (Flossie Lilly), Versa, Sarah, Glada, and Mildred and at home.
He also leaves a sister, Bessie Deeds of W.V., and 3 half brothers; Charles and Henry Lilly if W.V. and Peter Lilly of Oregon.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm Monday at Rush town Baptist Church with reverend Frank Fields officiating. Burial will be at Rush town Cemetery, the body is at the residence.
