TAYLOR MSgt. Henry Gray Taylor, Sr. U.S.A.F. Ret. - born November 6, 1927, a native of Gulfport, MS and a resident of Theodore, AL for 44 years went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, surrounded by his loving wife, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Ollie Mae Taylor. He began his military career in the Army Air Corp in 1946 (which became the Air Force in 1948) serving his country with heart, love, and dedication for 22 years. He was proud to have served through WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He worked at Teledyne Continental Motors until his retirement in 1989. Mr. Taylor is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Taylor; sister, Cornelia Childers; children, Cynthia (Kevin) French, Henry (Debbie) Taylor, and Victoria Hodges, and devoted and loving "son"-in-law, David Hodges; grandchildren, Julia, Linda, and Venessa French, George (Melissa) Harrison, Danny Harrison, Brandon (Channa) Harrison, and Stevie Baldo; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Taylor, and Garrett Harrison, Hunter Harrison, and Tyler and Kole Cahhoun; and devoted and loving friends, Ouida and Wilbur Duport and Mavis and Judson Martin. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be Odd-fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eight Ave., 7th Fl., New York, NY 10001.
