Miss Iva Opal Ballinger, 51, 142 1/2 W. 14 St., died suddenly early Sunday morning at her home. She was Dec 14 1906 in Upland, the daughter of Alvin Arnold and Maggie Troxell Ballinger. She attended Elwood schools. Miss Ballinger had lived in Anderson for the past 31 years and was employed in Dept 312 of Delco-Remy Division for 31 years. She was affiliated with the Christian Science Church and was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Surviving are the mother, Mrs Maggie Ballinger, of Elwood; three sisters, Mrs Wander E. Kelley of Elwood; Mrs Edith Roop of Chesterfield; and Mrs Mary Tranbarger of Anderson; two brothers, Howard E. of Anderson and Harry K. of Elwood. A brother, Clarence, died in 1953.

The body was taken to the Brown and Butz Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today and where services will be conducted by Kenneth Rogers, Christian Science Reader at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery
