Griselda Ann Johanek, age 67, of 111 W. Main St., Mishicot, died Wednesday morning, January 3, 1996, after a long term illness at Park Lawn Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 1996, at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot. Rev. John Neuser will officiate with burial at Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Griselda was born March 16, 1928, at Saltsburg, Penn., daughter of the late Michael and Julia Chero Verona. On June 11, 1949, she married Stephen J. Johanek Jr. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Saltsburg. She had been employed at Krause's Shopping Center for many years and later with Steve's meats until retiring due to ill health.
Survivors include her husband; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Stella Johanek, Two Rivers, Robert and Kristine Johanek, Spencer, Wis.; three grandchildren, Paul Michael, Steven Wayne, Sarah Kristine, all of Spencer; one brother, Robert (Ida) Verona, Murraysville, Penn.; four sisters, Jean (Charles) Catania, Dolores (Roy McKay) Lytle, Irma Webb, all of Saltsburg, Penn., Mary Fisher, Auburn, N.Y.; mother-in-law, Albine Johanek, Mishicot; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Verona, one sister-in-law, Irene Verona, two brothers-in-law, David (Red) Webb, Kenneth Fisher; a nephew, Charles Catania Jr.; father-in-law, Steve Johanek Sr.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday until the time of services.
She was a tolerant and concerned wife, mother, and friend. She was also loving, generous and outgoing. A dedicated homemaker enjoying baking and cooking. She enjoyed being with family, children, and friends. She will be sadly and greatly missed by her family.
