Born Sept. 17, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., and soon after moved to Washington, Pa.
Lester was a machinist at TRW until his retirement in 1981, after 31 years.
He married Dorothy Beatty Dec. 11, 1942, in Washington, Pa.
Lester served in the U.S. Army during World WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0907 in Taylorstown, Pa. He enjoyed farming, gardening, camping, and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy B. Ault; children, Dorothy Dale Strike of California, Pa., Sharon Kane of Macedonia, Alice Darlene Lucido of Englewood, Fla., Crystal Grimes of Painesville, Heather Arotin of Newbury, John Ault of Rome and Matt Ault of Perry; grandchildren, Ed, Tim, Leah Anne, Donna, Lester IV, Angela, Michael, Tracy, Jessica, Mike, April, John, Nina, Matthew and Megan; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Edna Ault; son, Lester E. Ault III; sister, Peggy Rose Ault; and brother, Thomas Ault.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
