Louie Bivens, age 83, of Trumann passed away Friday at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born in Tyronza to Brodie and Lorine Franks Bivens. Mr. Bivens worked for Kohn Bray Propane Company. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved western movies so much that he spent many hours working in several theaters.

Mr. Bivens was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Hattie; brother, George "Buddy" Bivens and great grandson, Austin Burchell.

Survivors include his wife Claudine of the home; a son, Danny Bivens of Trumann; a step-son, Allen Vanover of Senatobia, MS; a daughter, Betty Long of Trumann; a step-daughter, Darlene Stone of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Dwayne Bivens of Dewitt, AR; a sister Clara Jean Joiner of Arkadelphia; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be graveside Monday at 10:00am at Tyronza Cemetery with Austin Missy officiating. Tim Burchell, Michael Burchell, Joe Henry, Josh Henry, Zac Bivens and Derek Kemper will serve as pallbearers. Kevin Burchell will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be Sunday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
