Funeral Services Held In Pensacola For James Laird

Mr. James Edward Laird, age 48, of 802 Rue Max, Pensacola, Florida passed away on August 4, 1972. He was a native of Euchee Valley in Walton County, a veteran of World War II, a member of Warrington Baptist Church and Naval Masonic Lodge 24. He was a position classification specialist at the Pensacola Naval Air Station.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Thomason Laird; one daughter, Mrs. George Holland; two sons, Alan and Bruce, all of Pensacola.

Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mical Laird of 103 Oering Drive, DeFuniak Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Milina Hardy, and Mrs. Minnie Harrison of DeFuniak Springs; five brothers also survive: They are: C.J., Malcom, and Howard Laird, all of DeFuniak Springs; Lewis Laird of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Lt. Col. Herbert W. Laird of Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Interment was in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery, Pensacola with the Reverend Al Butler, of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church officiating. Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home directed.
