He was the 2nd of 8 children born to Francis X. (Frank) and Irene Kehoe.
If I remember correctly, his parents came through Ellis Island from Ireland as to have their children in America.
His first job, at age 9, was caring for the horses who pulled the ice wagon through his neighborhood. As an adult, he was the linen buyer for the Bon Marche'( now MACY'S ). He was married to Ellen (Helen)O'Brien until her death in April 1974. He then married Mildred Beth Jordan in October of 1974, who had been a neighbor and long time friend.
He traveled the world for his job but after his retirement, he and Mildred traveled for fun. He loved to take cruises and trips to Hawaii.
He enjoyed telling of his adventures around world, his growing up in New York and the mischief he got himself into.. well into his adult years. He was especially fond of dancing with my mother and singing to me. His step son, William was holding his hand as he died peacefully. He just "wound down" like an old clock. He was buried with his 1st wife, Helen
He was preceeded in death by all his 3 brothers (Frank jr.,Charlie and Walter) and 1 sister. He is survived by 2 children, William Kehoe,Jr and Mary Ellen Fouts. 3 step children, William Jordan, Janice Jordan and Beth Jordan-Myers.
