CHEESE FIRM EMPLOYEE; SERVICES PLANNED AT STOCKBRIDGE

John L. Ricker, 62, of Chilton, R. 1, died unexpectedly at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, at his place of employment, Lake to Lake Cheese Co., Kiel.

Mr. Ricker was born Jul. 2, 1903, in the Town of Stockbridge, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Ricker. He married Elsie Schmidt Jun. 3, 1931, at St. Mary’s Church, Stockbridge. He was a former Village of Stockbridge trustee and a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Holy Name Society.

He had been employed by the Stockbridge Telephone Co. for five years, purchased the Cook and Broom lumber and coal business at Stockbridge harbor which he operated for 31 years, and had been employed at the cheese company for the last 13 years.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Robert and Gary, residing at home; a daughter Mrs. William Diederick, Chilton, R. 1; a brother, Harry, Kimberly; two sisters, Mrs. Russell Rohn, Wauwatosa, and Mrs. Miles Griffith, Racine; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Church, Rev. William Willinger officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Stockbridge.
