Bernis T. "Babe" Greer died August 25, 2010, in McKinney, Texas. Babe was born on March 10, 1915 in Goliad, TX. She was a Registered Nurse who worked in many places before coming to Oklahoma City, where she reared a family and lived for over 50 years. She was the school nurse at both Classen and Northwest Classen High Schools. She was an avid bridge player, a serious poker player, and a softball player into her 70s. Babe was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Greer; and her five brothers. She is lovingly remembered by her two sons: Rudy Greer Jr. of Fairview, TX; and Bob Greer of Laguna Hills, CA; as well as by three granddaughters, one grandson, and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel in Oklahoma City at 10:00 on Monday, August 30. Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
