Lawrence Cheney, Esq., Sheriff of Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire was born circa 1396 and died December 31, 1461.
He was the son of Sir William Cheney (born 1368-died 1397)
and Katherine Pabenham (born 1372-died June 17, 1436)
He and Elizabeth Cokayne obtained a marriage license on December 13, 1421; They had one son (John) and two daughters (Elizabeth & Mary).

No headstone can be located. Unfortunately the only 2 remaining buildings at Barnwell Priory are the Cellarers Chequer on the corner of Beche Rd and Priory Rd and the Abbey Church. The church is in a poor state and constantly locked and has barely half a dozen readable headstones whilst the rest are just completely worn and broken. There are no other sites for burial at Barnwell priory.
