Carl Gall "C. G." Royer II, age 46, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 8, 2012.Born May 5, 1966 in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Carl Gall and Mary Louise (Winebrenner) Royer.C. G. was a 1984 graduate of Exeter High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree at Temple University in Philadelphia graduating Magnum Cum Laude. Carl later received his Masters Degree from Miami University, Ohio. An artist and writer, Carl enjoyed music and horror films.He is survived by his wife, Diana (Wolotkiewicz) Royer of Hamilton; his father, Dr. Carl Gall (Connie) Royer of Roan Mt., Tennessee; his mother, Mary Lou Royer of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Theodore William (Heidi) Royer of Lantana, Florida and Steve (Jennifer) Swales of Woodbine, Maryland: two sisters, Tina (Mike) Hein of Kingsport, Tennessee and Pam (Pete) Butziger of Columbia, Maryland; nieces and nephews, Lukas Carl Royer, Lexi and Sabrina Sachlis, Ben and Nate Swales, Jessica, Joel, Jeremiah, and Jonathan Hein, and Lauren Butziger; his aunts, Joan Knott of Highfield, Maryland, Beth (Spence) Watson of Sabillasville, Maryland, Becky (John) Urian of Thurmont, Maryland, and Pauline Stitley of Tennessee; his uncle, Sam (Eileen) Royer of Thurmont, Maryland; and numerous cousins.Carl was preceded in death by his grandparents. Cremation has taken place.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11 a.m at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church at 15 N. Church Street, Thurmont, MD, with Rev. Susan Beck officiating.
