Grace M. Ambrogio, age 101, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.
Grace was born on November 8, 1914 in Manitowoc to the late Edward and Anna Chizek Krejcie. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1933 and then went on to work at Mirro Aluminum. In October of 1943, Grace married Dominic Ambrogio in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1974. Grace and Dominic had operated their family business in Waukegan, IL for many years. Shortly after their retirement, they moved back to the Manitowoc area. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Manitowoc.
Survivors include a nephew: Robert (Evelyn) Krejcie, Manitowoc; nieces: Virginia (Kenneth) Bureau, Fridley, MN; and Marjorie La Brecque, Manitowoc; also other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Anna Krejcie; brother and sister-in-law: Victor (Agnes) Krejcie; and niece: Bernadette Krejcie Lambert.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Grace's nephew, Rev. Robert Krejcie will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
