Frederick F. Ansorge, 76, of 1617 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Ansorge was born Nov. 26, 1902, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Ernst and Meta Schmidt Ansorge. He married Ida Leider Dec. 11, 1927, in Manitowoc County. She preceded him in death Dec. 18, 1967. He then married Violet Diederichs Aug. 3, 1969, in Manitowoc. Mr. Ansorge had been employed with Mirro Aluminum Company and Manitowoc Engineering Company until his retirement in 1968, and was a past member and officer of Machinists Local 516. He was also a member of Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Violet, three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Pearl Ansorge of Town of Newton, Ernest and Marilyn Ansorge of Newton and Kenneth and Loretta Ansorge of Manitowoc; a step-son Jerry C. Diederichs of Manitowoc; a step-daughter, Marlene McKenna of Wausau; two brothers, Louis Ansorge of Whitelaw and Herbert Ansorge of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren and six grandchildren. Three brothers, two sisters and a grandson preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the time of service.
