Mrs Wycoff was one of Batesvilles Most Prominent Women who won Distinction during the World War for her Work as Supervisor for Red Cross Activities. who held an enviable Reputation as a Valued Historian. and whose activities in So many Fields of Endeavor gave her prominance throughout all Ripley County, Mrs Neal Mc Callum long entimate friend of Mrs Wycoff prepared and read at the Church service a Review of Mrs Wycoffs Life and its Accomplishments and paid eugolistic tribute to her memory.
This Review recounts the Chief Activities in which Mrs Wycoff engaged during her life and the Very Great Service she Rendered thereby Not only to the living But to future Generations.

It is a sad hour that brings here today the Friends of Mrs Wycoff who came to pay their final Tribute of Love and Honor to her to express their Mutual Sorrow of the tragic fate which befell her and to extend their deepest sympathy to her loved ones. here assembled at the irreperable loss. they have sustained of her sudden passing from their midst.
Minnie E Wycoff was the daughter of John A and Mary A Stewart (nee Sellers) and was Born Near CrossPlains Ripley county, Indiana August 11, 1874
Here on the Farm she spent her Girlhood days, attended Public School and Grew to Womanhood.
Having a thurst for Knowledge and higher learning and deciding to become a teacher, She attended Moores HIll College and began her teaching career at the age of 18, in Brown Twp Which she Taught for Several Years.
On Jan 19, 1896 she was United In Marriage to Albert H Wycoff, Also a Teacher, They established their home in Crossplains and her their Son Paul their only Child was Born to them. Deciding to Become a Lawyer Mr Wycoff Quit the Teaching Profession to Study Law and in 1904 he began a Practice in Versailles, Indiana, He moved his family there while Mrs Wycoff Continued her Teaching in the Versailles Schools.
