WILLIAM L. KRAINIK

Mr. William L. Krainik, 89, formerly of Manitowoc, currently residing at 13900 W. Burleigh, Brookfield, Wisconsin, died early Saturday, September 17, 1988, at
Congregation Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phipps Memorial Chapel, Manitowoc. Rev. William Plank will officiate with cremation having taken place and burial
at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Krainik was born December 2, 1898, at Manitowoc, son of the late Stephen and Anna Seidel Krainik. He attended schools in Manitowoc. Mr. Krainik was a World War I veteran. He married Caroline Vollendorf on September 6, 1921, at Manitowoc. The couple resided here all their lives. She preceded him in death in 1968. Mr. Krainik was Department Manager for Mirro Corp., employed there for 47 years. He retired in 1963. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc Elks Lodge No. 687; Manitowoc, Chapter No. 16; and Order of Eastern Star No. 196

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Elaine and James Vance of College Station, Texas, Marjorie and William Metz of Madison, Alabama, and Carol Houghton of Wauwatosa; seven grandchildren and five great randchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may greet the family at the church from noon to the time of services on Wednesday. Jens Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, assisted the family with arrangements.
