Mrs. Samantha Jane Engle, widow of Orion T, died yesterday morning in her residence on the Xenia pike near Zimmerman. Surviving are one son R.E.Engle of Lancaster, and three daughters, Mrs Walter Reese of Dayton, Mrs William Davis of South Charleston,and Mrs Clare Hare of Dayton. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock in her late residence. Burial will be made in Aley's cemetery.
Daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Harshman) Tobias. Married Orin T. Engle Sept. 28, 1876 in Greene Co., Ohio. Parents of Elbert Earl, Bessie May (Reese), Laura Etta (Davis) and Esther Pearl (Hare).
