Bobby Lee Dunavant, 68, of Fulton, died Monday, March 12, 2001 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. He was born on August 12, 1932 in Fulton, Missouri, the son of the late William Sr. and Gladys (Grimm) Dunavant. He married Bonnie (Hall) on July 2, 1951 in Fulton and she survives at their home. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers as well as his parents.

Mr. Dunavant served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and had been employed by the City of Fulton as Assistant Supervisor of the Power Plant for 32 1/2 years until his retirement on May 1, 1995. In 1970 he owned and operated a roofing and painting business and after his retirement he operated a small engine repair shop.

He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he was a member of the church choir at the time of his death. He had also served as Deacon, song leader, and youth leader at Hallsville Church of God Holiness. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Funeral services will be held at the Debo Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. Burial will follow at the Callaway Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by VFW Post 2657.
