Lawrence J. (Hub) Alfson, age 64, of Valders, died Tuesday, October 3, 1995, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 1995, at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Rev. Williams Timm will and Rev. Charles Kurtz will officiate with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born January 24, 1931,at Valders, son of Herbert and Catherine Mann Alfson. He attended grade school at St. Mary's School, Clarks Mills, and was a 1950 graduate of Valders High School. He operated the bowling lanes in Valders and was then employed by the Valders Co-op. He married Caroline Danes August 3, 1964, at Waukegan, Ill. The couple renewed their vows on their 25th anniversary at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders, in 1989. He was a member of the Valders American Legion Post. Hub was an avid fisherman, golfer and was very active in many bowling organizations for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline; his mother, Catherine Moore, Valders; a daughter, Sharon Lulloff, Green Bay; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond (Hans) and Delores Alfson, Sturgeon Bay, Dennis and Cathy Alfson, Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Led and Carly Jo Lulloff; three stepbrothers, David and Diane Moore, Oshkosh, Dennis and Rogene Moore, Manitowoc, Gary of California; a step-sister, Sherill and Don Riebe, Manitowoc. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny, his father, and his step-father, John Moore.
Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church on Thursday from 5 pm. until the time of service.
The Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, is serving the family.
