Charles Elias Fogg, married Adeline Catherine O'Neale Van Pelt, the widow of Benjamin S. Van Pelt on April 28, 1880 in Rappahannock County VA. She lived from 1845 to 1884. His parents were the late Thomas Fogg and Mary Ann O'Neale.

Private: Company B. 6th VA. Cavalry, CSA. Enlisted March 1, 1862. He was shot in the hip and spine July 3, 1863 at Fairfield, Adams county PA., during the Gettysburg campaign. He was a POW sent to DeCamp General Hospital, Davids Island, NYC Harbor. He was granted a disability pension by the state of Virginia on May 14, 1888. He walked with a crutch the rest of his life.
