Carol E. Hughes, age 69, of Lapeer, was born on June 6, 1943 to Raymond and Mary Lehman in Pontiac, MI. She went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2012, after an extended illness at Avalon Hospice in Flint. She is survived by her daughter Christine E. Hughes (Steven Headrick); sons J. David Hughes (Shannon), Michael E. Hughes (April); seven grandchildren, Jimi, A.J., Zach, Tiffany, Garret, Porter and Avery; sister, Janie (John) Cojocar; brother-in-law Chuck (Barb) Hughes; several nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her loving Husband of 18 years, James L. Hughes; parents Raymond and Mary Lehman; parents-in-law Garland and Flo Hughes. Carols' house was always a house of welcome. Many friends and family will miss her smile and company. Funeral will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI. Pastor Bruce Lawton will be officiating. Burial at Stiles Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday 3-9 and Thursday 12-4 & 6-9 PM.
