Barbara Lynn Webb, age 79, of Greenwood, formerly of Bloomington, died Tuesday morning at the Greenwood Health and Living Center. Born March 30, 1932 in El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of Julius C. and Catherine (McClintock) Gemoets.
She was a retired police officer with the City of Bloomington Police Department and later served as a court bailiff with the Monroe County Circuit Courts. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law; Larry and Geralyn Webb, of Greenwood, John W. and Karen Webb, of Martinsville and Michael E. and Debbie Staffen, of Klementh Falls, Oregon; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Courtney, Larry, Jimmy, Lauren and Emily and three great-grandchildren, Kasey, Lacey, and Nick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Birl B. Webb, in 1985 and one brother, Robert L. Staffen
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
