Daughter of Frank Kurz and Teresa Hoffman, wife of Edwin Leo King. Alice was named after her father's sister, Alice M. Kurz.

Marriage - King - Kurz - Patchogue, L.I., November 29 (1919) - Miss Alice M. Kurz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Kurz of New London, Conn., formerly of Patchogue, and Edwin Leo King, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. King of Patchogue, were married Thursday afternoon in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Patchogue, by the Rev. E.A.W.H. Wilson, the rector. A large assemblage of relatives and friends attended.

The maid of honor was Miss Virginia M. King, a sister of the bridegroom, and the bridesmaids were the Misses Eleanor Kurz, cousin of the bride, and Katherine Chase, both of Brooklyn. The best man was Sidney Van Slingerlandt of Manhattan and the ushers were were Leroy S. Smith, and Champ Belmont of Patchogue.

The wedding was followed by a dinner at the Old Oak Hotel and this in turn was followed by a reception in the Foresters Hall, Patchogue. Later the bridal couple left on their honeymoon to Washington. They will live in Patchogue. Mr. King was a member of the 147th Signal Battalion.

In 1920, Alice M. King, aged 18, was shown living on Pine Neck Avenue, with husband Edwin L. King, aged 26, in the home of her in-laws, Charles E. King, 48, and Mabel R. King, aged 45. Also living in the household was Virginia M. King, aged 20.

In 1925, Alice M. King, aged 24, was shown living in the home of her parents, Frank A. and Theresa Kurz, on Grove Avenue, Brookhaven. Alice was employed, working at a bank. Also living in the household was her sister, Charlotte, and her husband Frederick Lull. Alice's husband, Edwin L. King was shown living with his parents, Charles and Mable King, on Pine Neck Avenue, Brookhaven.

In October 1928, Alice M. Kurz was shown a notary public working for The Peoples National Bank.

In 1930, Alice Kurz, aged 26, was living in the home of her parents, Frank and Theresa Kurz, at 175 Grove Avenue, Brookhaven, NY.

Obituary - Miss Alice M. Kurz died last Friday evening at her home 175 Grove Avenue, Patchogue after an illness of several months. Miss Kurz, who was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kurz, was 29 years old, and for the past five years had been employed in the People's National Bank in Patchogue. Besides her parents she is survived by her sister, Mrs. Frederick Lull, of Patchogue. Funeral services were held from Saint Paul's Episcopal Church at two o'clock on Monday afternoon, the rector, Rev. Hannington Wilson officiating and interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
