Wife Buried This Morning Here, and Funeral of Husband To Be Held Thursday

Valentine Grzelczyk, 50, of 2606 Thirteenth street, survived his wife, Agatha, but 42 hours. She passed away here two days ago, and the husband died last night at the Northern hospital at Oshkosh, where he was committed December 28, following a nervous breakdown.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grzelczyk were held this morning from the Sacred Heart church and it was announced that funeral services for the husband would take place on Thursday morning from the same church. Both bodies are to be buried along side of each other in a lot in Holy Cross cemetery. The remains of Mr. Grzelczyk were returned here from Oshkosh this afternoon.

Five Children Survive
Mr. Grzelczyk was born in Poland, February 14, 1881. Twenty five years ago he came to this country and settled in Detroit where he was married in 1913 to Agatha Kuklis, who was also a native of Poland. Prior to his residence in this country he was a teacher in one of the rural schools in Poland.

Mr. Grzelczyk is survived by four daughters, Helen, Mary, Gladys and Jessie, and one son, Edmund, all at home.

Deceased has been in the employ of the Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co. Plant No. 1 since 1921, working in the rolling mill."

City Manager E. J. Donnelly and Mrs. Joseph Schroeder, president of the Apostolate motored to Green Bay yesterday to take Mary and Jessie Grzelcyzk to the St. Joseph's Orphanage. Gladys Grzelczyk will go to Milwaukee and live with relatives. Edmund will to the St. Mary's Orphanage in Manitowoc and the oldest girl Helen will remain in this city. These children lost both of their parents during the past week. The mother died at their home here and the father died at Northern State hospital at Oshkosh."
