MARIE LOUISE NELSON
Funeral services for Miss Marie Louise Nelson, 92, were held at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Boxholm, Saturday, Feb. 26, 1966 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. J. William Raymond, officiating. Vocal music was furnished by Mrs. LaVern Renberg, who sang "Meet Me There" and "My Savior First of All," accompanied by Mrs. Charles Will.

Pallbearers were Verdi Anderson, Bruce Gifford, Jr., Arvid Nelson, LeRoy Nelson, Stephen Peterson and Virgil Wallerstedt.

Burial was at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Boxholm.

Marie Louise Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Nelson, was born near Bergholm in Wapello County, Iowa, April 25, 1873, and died Feb. 23, 1966 at the Boone County Hospital.

Miss Nelson was baptized when she was eight days old by Pastor Hakanson of Dayton, Iowa. On June 2, 1889, she was confirmed in the Emanuel Lutheran Church of Dayton by Pastor C. A. Hemborg. Following her confirmation, when the newly-organized Grant Center Lutheran Church in Boxholm was organized, she transferred her membership to this congregation.

Miss Nelson moved to Grant Township, Boone County, in 1877 and lived most of her life in Boxholm except for a time she worked in Des Moines.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law; two nieces and two nephews and other relatives and friends.

Miss Nelson was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by six brothers; four sisters and one nephew.
