Dennis was born to parents Malinda (Buntrock) Brau and the late Richard E. Brau.

He graduated from Columbia Heights High School with the class of 1965. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.

Returning from the service he attended Anoka Ramsey State Junior College, the University of Minnesota and graduated from the Brown Institute with a degree in Digital Technology. He made his home in Columbia Heights and then moved to Perham in 2000.

He cherished his two dogs, Ahlee and Rama and enjoyed caring and sitting for dog's of friends and neighbors, at Lonesome Dove Boarding Kennel in Perham. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard and his sister Dorothy Dziuk.

Survivors include his mother, Malinda Brau; sister, Rosetta (Richard Werner) Jameson; brother, Roger Brau; niece, Deb Dziuk; nephews: James Dziuk (David Abrams) and John (JoAnne) Jameson; great-niece, Sara Jameson; great-nephews, Neal and Chad Jameson; many beloved aunts, uncles, his loving companions Rama and Ahlee; other relatives and a host of friends.
