Delores A. Bice, 76, of Colonial Park Nursing Home, Rome, and formerly of Lorraine, died Friday morning at the Rome Memorial Hospital. A funeral mass will be 10:30 am Wednesday August 1, 2012 at Saint Cecilia's Church, Adams, with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery, Adams. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams.

Born June 30, 1936 in Camden, NY, daughter of Royce and Julia Jaynes Babcock, she graduated from Camden Central School in 1954 and later from the Jefferson Lewis BOCES as a nursing assistant. Mrs. Bice worked at the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown before retiring in 1993 due to disability.

She married Daniel T. Bice on July 4, 1959 at the First Baptist Church of Camden. The couple lived in Lorraine all of their married life. Mr. Bice died August 29, 1985. Mrs. Bice moved to Rome in 1998.

She is survived by one brother, Harold (Kathy) Babcock, Camden; two sisters, Shirley Manning and Betty Perkins, both of Rome; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by one brother, Royce, Jr who died in 1951 and two sisters who died in infancy.

Mrs. Bice was a former communicant of Saint Cecilia's Church.
