Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Deja and Martin Funeral
Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev.
James Stamborski officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Deja, nee Katherine Peaschek, was born April 3, 1878 in the Town of Newton,
a daughter of the late John and Gertrude Frozena Peaschek. She was married at
St. Casimir church at Newton June 20, 1899, to Albert Deja of the Town of Two
Rivers.
After their marriage the couple moved to the town of Two Rivers and engaged in
farming. A number of years later her husband established a meat market on the
city’s east side, now Gauthier’s Market. The couple celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary in 1959. Her husband preceded her in death in 1960.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Skrzycke of Two Rivers; four grand-
children; 14 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapels where memorial
services will at 7:15 p.m.
