Agnes Irene Saling, 94, Beatrice, died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. She was born Dec. 29, 1909, in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. For many years, she worked at the jewelry counter at M. L. Parkers in Davenport, Iowa. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed cooking.
Survivors: son, Rowland Saling and wife Delores of Eldridge, Iowa; brothers, Harry Lauritsen of Bettendorf, Iowa, William Lauritsen of Bettendorf, Iowa; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Herbert Saling (February 1981); daughter, Gail Saling; son, Harry Saling; parents, John and Emile (Andresen) Lauritsen; sister, Agatha Dengler; brother, George Lauritsen.
